Important Alert: Heavy Rain in Several Provinces

The National Meteorological Office warned on Tuesday of heavy thunderstorms across several provinces of the country.

According to the office, rainfall amounts are expected to range between 20 mm and 40 mm, potentially exceeding 50 mm locally. The affected provinces include Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Blida, Medea, and Bouira, starting from Wednesday at 9:00 AM until Thursday at 3:00 AM.

The same office also issued an orange alert for thunderstorms with rainfall amounts between 30 mm and 50 mm, which may reach or exceed 60 mm locally. This alert covers Mostaganem, Chlef, Tipaza, Relizane, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, and Tiaret, starting Tuesday at 9:00 PM and continuing until Thursday at 3:00 AM.

Another bulletin warned of strong winds exceeding 90 km/h, starting from 9:00 AM on Wednesday until 6:00 PM the same day. The affected provinces are Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Chlef, Ain Defla, and Tipaza.

Additionally, Algiers, Boumerdes, Blida, and Medea will experience strong winds exceeding 90 km/h, starting from Wednesday at noon until 9:00 PM.
