Ait Messaoudane and Tunisian Counterpart Conduct Field Visit to ‘Maillot’ and Tipaza

Minister of Health Mohamed Seddik Ait Messaoudane, accompanied by his Tunisian counterpart, Minister of Health Mustafa Ferjani, conducted a field visit to several vital departments at the Lamine Debaghine University Hospital Center (Bab El Oued). The visit was part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchange experiences in the health sector.

The visit included the pediatric oncology center, the medical intensive care unit, the radiology department, and the nuclear medicine department. The ministerial delegation reviewed the available capabilities and equipment, patient care mechanisms, and the level of health services provided, while observing efforts to improve the quality of healthcare.

During the visit, a detailed presentation was given on the electronic patient file system and its role in improving the treatment process and enhancing coordination between various departments, contributing to higher quality health care and easier patient follow-up.

In the same context, the ministerial delegation visited the “Abdelkader Tegzait” Public Hospital in Tipaza, where they reviewed working conditions, particularly in the cardiology and vascular surgery department and the catheterization unit, as well as the available human and technical resources.

Both sides emphasized the importance of developing a joint roadmap aimed at strengthening cooperation between Algerian and Tunisian medical teams, intensifying the exchange of expertise, and developing professional and scientific partnerships to serve the health systems of both countries and directly benefit citizen health.
