The seventh edition of the International Chocolate and Coffee Salon opened on Wednesday at the “Mohamed Ben Ahmed” Convention Center in Oran, with the participation of 120 exhibitors, including professionals, artisans, and stakeholders in the field from both within the country and abroad.
The opening ceremony of the event, organized by the “Vision Future” institution, took place under the supervision of the Provincial Director of Vocational Training and Education, Noureddine Aimar, representing the sponsoring ministry, in the presence of ambassadors from several African countries to Algeria.
In a statement to the press, the official said that the organization of this salon falls within the framework of supporting sectors related to hospitality, tourism, and catering, praising the development of the quality of Algerian products in accordance with international standards.
The salon organizer, Mohamed Karaya, stated that this edition features more than 120 exhibitors representing various links in the production chain related to chocolate and coffee, from equipment and machinery companies and raw material suppliers to producers of sweets, chocolate, coffee, bakery derivatives, and flavorings. He noted that the salon has become an integrated professional platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing the latest innovations.
This edition is characterized by the organization of daily professional competitions, including “cocktails,” “optical illusion sweets,” and “chocolate,” as well as a chocolate artwork competition on the fourth day. Additionally, a “Cook Show” space has been introduced, dedicated to bakery and pastry demonstrations presented by professional chefs.
