World Cup Trophy to Visit Algeria

Next Monday, the FIFA World Cup trophy will visit the capital, Algiers.

The visit is part of a global tour organized by FIFA. Several representatives from the international football governing body will be present, including former German international striker Jürgen Klinsmann, a 1990 World Cup winner and former coach of the United States national team (2011–2016).

The trophy will be displayed to the Algerian public at the Oval Hall of the Mohamed Boudiaf Olympic Complex for commemorative photos.

An official ceremony is scheduled for Monday evening at the El Aurassi Hotel in the capital, attended by various sports and political figures.

This marks the third time the World Cup trophy has visited Algeria, following previous visits in 2009 and 2013.
