The Algiers Court of Appeal ruled on Tuesday regarding the request for release on health grounds for the former president of the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises, Saida Neghza.
The 10th Criminal Chamber of the Algiers Court decided to reject the request after she spent nearly seven months in detention at Koléa prison. The court also upheld the prosecution’s motions, which called for Neghza to remain in custody and for the release request on health grounds to be denied.
For its part, Saida Neghza’s defense team announced its intention to appeal the decision before the Supreme Court.
