The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, visited on Thursday the University of Health Sciences “Mujahid Dr. Yousef Khatib-Ziania” in Ben Aknoun, Algiers, where he observed the use of modern technologies in student training.
During the visit, the Minister inspected a laboratory at the Faculty of Pharmacy and another at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, in addition to a medical simulation center equipped with the latest technologies used in teaching, such as the use of robots to instruct students in the practical aspects of their lessons.
In this regard, Baddari stressed the necessity of “continuing to work on raising the level of training by enhancing the use of artificial intelligence techniques,” announcing “support for this university with specialized digital platforms and enabling it to benefit from data center services.”
The Minister also urged students to move toward “precision medicine” to elevate the level of training and work on improving health services for the benefit of citizens and the nation, aiming to achieve health security.
He also pointed to the “great support” provided by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the university, considering it a “locomotive for local and national development.”
