Weather Fluctuations: Vehicles Freed and Families Rescued from Snow

The General Directorate of Civil Protection has released a report on the general situation following the weather fluctuations experienced across several regions of the country. According to the report updated until 10:00 PM last night, Civil Protection units in Mostaganem province intervened in the municipality of Tadles to pump out accumulated water from three ground-level residences in the Douar Belhadri area.

In the municipality of Achacha, rainwater was pumped from a residence, and a family of nine was evacuated without any casualties recorded. In Sidi Bel Abbes province, specifically in the municipality of Boukhnefis, water was pumped from four homes in the 119 Dwellings neighborhood.

In the municipality of Bologhine, Algiers province, a tree fell on a makeshift house, causing a wall and roof to collapse on Tabash Street in the Les Sources neighborhood, with no casualties reported. Civil Protection units in Relizane province also intervened to pump out accumulated rainwater from a tunnel in the Diansi El Toub neighborhood.

In Tiaret province, 32 vehicles stuck due to snow accumulation were freed in the Ghalal and Ain Qasima areas, along with 13 cars and an empty bus. In the municipality of Ain Kermes, five vehicles stuck in the snow were freed, while in Sougueur, nine vehicles were freed at the Bouakkaz farm.
