The Directorate of Agricultural Services for the Tipaza Province announced the provision of bank loans with a ceiling of 150 million Algerian dinars for the construction of cold storage rooms for all agricultural producers, including private landowners and concession contract holders.
According to the directorate’s statement, the “refrigeration loan” was established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries to build cold storage warehouses with a capacity ranging from 300 m³ to 5,000 m³, in proportion to the activity and production capacity of each investor with storable products.
According to the same source, the public banks active in the banking sector involved in financing this mechanism are: BEA, BDL, BADR, CNEP-Banque, CPA, and BNA. The directorate also invited all interested parties to contact the agricultural sub-departments or the Directorate of Agricultural Services.
