Algeria and Oman Discuss Joint Projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry

A video conference meeting was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, bringing together officials from the ministry with their counterparts from the Omani Ministry of Health and investment authorities.

According to a ministry statement, joint investment opportunities between economic operators from both countries were studied and discussed. This meeting follows the recent visit of the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry to the Sultanate of Oman, where opportunities to strengthen cooperation and joint investment were discussed.

The discussions focused on developing the pharmaceutical industry, exchanging technical expertise, supporting research and development, and technology transfer, while facilitating the entry of Algerian pharmaceutical products into Omani and neighboring markets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed on the importance of continued coordination and joint action to translate shared political will into practical programs and effective partnerships that benefit the pharmaceutical industry in both Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman.

They also agreed to exchange visits between officials and adopt a timeline for all actions to be taken by both countries to implement the agreed-upon roadmap in the pharmaceutical field.
