Prime Minister Arrives in Annaba Province

Prime Minister Sifi Gharib arrived in Annaba Province on Saturday for a working and inspection visit. According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the visit is dedicated to monitoring the progress of the Annaba port expansion works, particularly the construction of the mining pier included in the integrated phosphate project.

The Prime Minister was accompanied on this visit by the Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab; the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Said Sayoud; the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Abdelkader Djellaoui; the Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir; and the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tachrifet.

This visit is part of the implementation of instructions from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune regarding the need to accelerate the construction of the mining pier within the Annaba port expansion project, given its strategic importance in supporting the national phosphate chain, enhancing the port’s capacity to receive large shipments, and improving the flow of exports to global markets.
