The Ministry of National Education announced that it has exceptionally decided to open the submission of applications for early retirement benefits for employees who meet the legally defined conditions.
The Ministry explained in a statement that the decision concerns male employees who reach the age of 57 and female employees who reach the age of 52 by August 31, 2026.
According to the same source, files are to be submitted during the period from February 8 to March 15, 2026, which is the final deadline, and no applications submitted after this date will be accepted.
The statement added that files are to be submitted at the educational institutions where the concerned individuals perform their duties.
The decision comes in application of the provisions of Law No. 25-09 dated July 19, 2025, supplementing Law No. 83-12 dated July 2, 1983, relating to retirement, as amended and supplemented, as well as the provisions of Executive Decree No. 26-74 dated January 14, 2026, which specifies the conditions and modalities for employees belonging to certain special corps of national education to benefit from retirement before the legal age, and within the framework of providing optimal care for its employees concerned by the provisions of the new legal texts.
