The Algeria Mechanica exhibition is expected to see significant participation from more than 100 national and international actors in the automotive industry, spare parts, and subcontracting sectors at the Convention Center in Oran from February 10 to 12.
According to information from the organizers of this economic event, which is held under the Ministry of Industry, the exhibition aligns with the public authorities’ efforts to establish a genuine automotive industry in Algeria and increase the national integration rate. The event will feature the participation of the global automotive group Stellantis, owner of the Italian brand Fiat, which aims to produce 90,000 vehicles this year through its plant in the Tafraoui region of Oran province. This production includes three models: the Doblo passenger car, the Doblo commercial vehicle, and the anticipated new Grande Panda.
Major Chinese automotive brands are also expected to be present at this important event, including Chery, which will have its own exhibition pavilion, as well as the FAW brand.
The Chinese brand JAC, through its exclusive representative in Algeria, Emin Auto, will also be present at the Algeria Mechanica exhibition, especially after recently announcing that its commercial vehicle unit in Ain Temouchent province has entered the production phase.
The Algerian Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (BSTPO), a key player in the sector, will also participate in this event, given its significant role in advancing the industry through subcontracting and partnership contracts.
The Algerian brand Tersam will be among the participants in the economic event, along with Ghazal, a company specializing in LPG fuel equipment for vehicles, which is also contracted with Fiat Algeria.
Naftal will be among the participants at the Algeria Mechanica exhibition in Oran, particularly after its recent entry into the marketing of tires and imported lubricants, a step aimed at diversifying its activities and strengthening its presence in the automotive services ecosystem. Other participants include Petro Baraka, a national lubricant manufacturer, and the French company Total.
The attendance will also cover the field of spare parts and automotive components, with several manufacturers participating. These include Fabcom, which specializes in battery manufacturing and is contracted with the Stellantis group at the Fiat plant in Oran, alongside foreign companies from Turkey and Switzerland specializing in automotive components and industrial equipment, such as SHUNK, KOMAX, and FORM FLEKS, reflecting growing international interest in the Algerian market and industrial partnership opportunities.
Major industrial groups such as Tosyali Algeria for iron and steel, the public group for chemical industries (ACS)—which is involved in partnerships with an Italian company in the field of plastic automotive equipment—and the Algerian steel company SNS will also participate in this event in Oran due to their close ties to the sector.
