Transport Union Representatives Praise High Authorities’ Response to Their Concerns

Representatives of transport sector unions on Thursday praised the response of the country’s high authorities to their concerns, affirming their confidence in state institutions and their commitment to confronting “malicious attempts by parties hostile to Algeria.”

Following their meeting with the President of the Council of the Nation, Azzouz Nasri, representatives of these unions—affiliated with the General Union of Algerian Workers and the General Union of Algerian Merchants and Artisans—confirmed that it was established today that the draft traffic law has not yet been finalized. They lauded the “genuine response” shown by the country’s high authorities, led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, toward their concerns.

They also expressed their gratitude to everyone who worked with a true national spirit to counter attempts aimed at creating confusion among transporters.

The transport union representatives emphasized their confidence in state institutions and called on all transporters to resume their activities, stressing the need to place the supreme interest of the nation above all considerations.
