Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held a working session today in the Spanish capital, Madrid, with his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares Bueno.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement, this bilateral meeting took place within the framework of a working visit by the Minister of State to the Kingdom of Spain.
In this regard, the two parties reviewed the state of cooperation and partnership relations between the two countries and the prospects for providing them with further momentum, particularly in fields related to energy, trade, investment, and transport, as well as judicial and consular cooperation.
On this occasion, the importance of seizing the upcoming visit of the Spanish minister to Algeria was emphasized to ensure optimal preparation for the eighth session of the Algerian-Spanish high-level meeting.
The two ministers also exchanged views on several international and regional issues of common interest, primarily developments in the Sahel-Saharan region and shared challenges in the Euro-Mediterranean space.
