Oil prices rose on Friday for the second consecutive day, heading toward their third weekly gain.
Brent crude futures increased by 44 cents, or 0.71 percent, to $62.43 per barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also rose by 39 cents, or 0.68 percent, to $58.15.
Both benchmarks jumped by more than 3 percent on Thursday, following two consecutive days of declines. Brent crude is on track for a 2.7 percent weekly increase, while WTI is heading toward a 1.4 percent rise for the week.
