Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, oversaw the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of Algeria Post, alongside ministry officials and institution employees. During his speech on the occasion, the Minister emphasized that the sector continues to implement an ambitious roadmap, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic, aimed at modernizing the post and its services to meet the requirements of digital transformation, noting that these trends have translated into tangible achievements.
Zerrouki announced the official launch of the “Cashless Accounts” service after months of work and preparation, to enhance financial inclusion and promote electronic payment. He also revealed the launch of the first national network of smart lockers (EMS Champion Smartbox) aimed at modernizing distribution and express mail services and supporting e-commerce.
In the same context, he stressed the continuation of efforts to support electronic payment by expanding the network of automated teller machines (ATMs), increasing the production of payment cards, and diversifying their uses, in addition to developing smart applications. The Minister also reaffirmed the adoption of strategic axes including improving service quality, modernizing the logistics system, and valuing human capital, with the necessity of adopting a forward-looking vision based on the optimal exploitation of resources and capabilities.
At the conclusion of his speech, the sector minister congratulated the workers of Algeria Post on the occasion of the founding anniversary, wishing them further success in continuing the path of modernization and citizen service.
