National team captain Riyad Mahrez confirmed that he does not fear the Nigerian national team’s attack, considering that Saturday’s clash will be completely different from its 2019 counterpart.
During a press conference held alongside coach Petkovic, Mahrez said that the “Greens” are ready to face the Nigerian team with an ambition focused on qualifying for the semi-finals.
He also noted the presence of pressure in the tournament in general, but emphasized that the national team is not under any additional pressure ahead of the Nigeria match.
The Al-Ahli Saudi star committed to giving his best alongside his teammates in Petkovic’s squad and performing at the required level, stating: “We have a strong team and we will do our best to make our fans happy… it will be a great match.”
