Senegalese Referee to Officiate Saturday’s Match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the officiating team for the match between Algeria and Nigeria in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Senegalese referee Issa Sy will officiate Saturday’s clash, which will be held at the Marrakech Stadium starting at 17:00 Algeria time. He will be assisted by his compatriots Djibril Camara as the first assistant and Nouha Bangoura as the second assistant, in addition to Kenyan Gilbert Kipkoech Cheruiyot as the third assistant and his compatriot Peter Waweru Kamaku as the fourth official.

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology has been assigned to Gabonese referee Pierre Ghislain Atcho, assisted by Kenyan Stephen Onyango as the first video assistant and Letticia Antonella Viana from Eswatini as the second video assistant.
