An editorial in the January 2026 issue of El Djeich magazine stated that 2025 was full of achievements and gains, continuing the national revival project led with steadfastness and determination by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The editorial emphasized that President Tebboune is full of confidence and faith in the country’s victory and success in achieving a real leap that will move it into the ranks of emerging nations, in fulfillment of the message of the martyrs and the pledges he made to work with determination to serve the people and defend the nation’s interests.
It added that the President of the Republic is not deterred by difficulties, resistance to change, interference, or the rumors and fake news promoted by certain parties and hostile voices at home and abroad, which exploit some of the citizens’ concerns. The editorial also confirmed that the country’s high authorities have placed the citizens’ concerns at the heart of their interests, led by the President, who is keen to continue the path of relentless reforms on all fronts and in all sectors. His ultimate goal is to enhance sustainable development aimed at improving social conditions and addressing the basic needs of Algerians.
The publication noted that these reforms and the strenuous efforts made, which deeply affected all fields, have borne fruit. This is reflected in the gains achieved and the projects implemented, many of which the President highlighted in his annual speech before both houses of Parliament, supported by indisputable figures and facts.
Regarding the economic aspect, the source added that within the framework of the country’s efforts to build a strong and sovereign economy, the national economy has become one of the most dynamic in the Mediterranean and North Africa. This is due to achievements in the industrial, agricultural, and mining sectors, which are undergoing a real revolution under an unprecedented investment climate that reflects the confidence of foreign investors.
Amidst this ambitious path pursued with will and determination, the social character of the state remains a red line that the President has pledged to maintain under all circumstances. This is a deep-rooted principle inspired by the Declaration of November 1, 1954, aimed at ensuring a dignified life for Algerians. This is embodied in achievements in the housing sector and efforts to strengthen the purchasing power of citizens, who are at the core of the high authorities’ concerns.
The editorial also touched upon the President’s decision to import one million heads of sheep in preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Adha for the second consecutive year.
It highlighted that these strategic gains and achievements, along with numerous other projects launched to strengthen the digital, education, health, higher education, and public works sectors, as well as water security—bolstered by seawater desalination plants that have entered service while others are planned in various provinces—are projects completed in record time using advanced techniques by Algerian hands, representing a source of pride for a new and victorious Algeria.
