Officers of the multi-tasking unit in Guettara, under the Djelfa Customs Divisional Inspectorate within the jurisdiction of the Regional Directorate of Customs in Laghouat, in coordination with members of the People’s National Army, seized a quantity of hallucinogenic tablets of the type Pregabalin 300 mg.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of Customs, the seized quantity was estimated at 11,685 tablets, which were discovered on board a passenger vehicle. The operation resulted in the seizure of the vehicle used and the arrest of two suspects, who were referred to the competent judicial authorities.
The statement added that this operation confirms the commitment of Algerian Customs, in coordination with various state bodies, to implementing the national strategy to combat smuggling and organized crime.
