Former German international Jurgen Klinsmann spoke about his visit to Algeria as part of the FIFA World Cup trophy tour. Klinsmann expressed his great admiration for the atmosphere and the reception he received upon his arrival in Algeria.
In a statement to an international news channel, he said: “The reception was wonderful from everyone. Wherever I go, the Algerian people are very kind and enthusiastic about the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.”
Regarding the national football team, the German legend considered Algeria to have a strong and promising squad. He stated: “I believe the Algerian team is good, and what it needs is support from everyone. There is an experienced coach, and they must approach the World Cup match by match.”
Jurgen Klinsmann arrived in Algeria yesterday leading a delegation from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) as part of the promotional tour for the World Cup trophy.
The FIFA delegation, accompanied by Algerian football legends and several national team players, was received by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the presidency, where the original version of the World Cup trophy was displayed.
