Kamel Moula and members of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council met with a high-level delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), led by Ethiopis Tafara, the Vice President for Africa. The IFC is the world’s largest development institution and a member of the World Bank Group.
According to a statement from the council, the two parties discussed opportunities for exchanging expertise and ways to strengthen partnerships both in Algeria and internationally across several key sectors, most notably energy, agriculture, and health security, particularly regarding the pharmaceutical industry. They explored the potential of this industry and how it can be leveraged across the African continent, specifically the possibility of accessing African markets through the institution’s networks and banks.
The two sides also decided to establish a joint committee aimed at developing a roadmap, defining objectives, and monitoring progress twice a year. This initiative is expected to enhance the presence of Algerian companies on the international stage.
