Last week, the Search and Intervention Squad of the Provincial Judicial Police Service in Tindouf dismantled a criminal network and seized more than 21,000 psychotropic substances.
According to the same services, the operation followed the effective use of precise information received by the squad regarding an individual in possession of a quantity of psychotropic substances, using his commercial shop in one of the city’s neighborhoods for storage, sale, promotion, and transport of these toxins.
After coordination with the competent regional prosecution, intensive field monitoring and tracking operations were initiated, resulting in the containment of the criminal project of this individual and his partners.
Subsequently, the shop was raided, where a significant total quantity of 21,181 capsules of Pregabalin 300 mg was seized, in addition to a sum of money from criminal proceeds and the recovery of a vehicle used in their criminal activity.
The suspects were referred to the competent regional judicial authority under a criminal file.
