Land Registry: Generalization of the “Amlak” Information System

The General Directorate of National Property announced the expansion of the “Amlak” information system to all land survey, land registry, and state property directorates. According to a statement from the General Directorate on Sunday, this move completes modernization and development efforts involving technical standards and solutions for update processes, part of which was launched during survey production on August 21, 2025.

The “Amlak” information system serves as the central practical tool for issuing electronic land registries and updating their content. The statement added that once technical and regulatory procedures are finalized for its official launch, paper land registries will be gradually replaced by electronic ones.

The “Amlak” system is the result of intensive efforts by the staff and employees of the General Directorate of National Property, particularly IT specialists, under the supervision of a multidisciplinary steering committee. It was designed and developed in a record time of less than one year.

“Amlak” is a unified national information system that integrates three sectors: general survey, land registry, and state property. It relies on a central national database containing digital data for these functions, ensuring integration, accuracy, and the smooth exchange of information.

The system features high performance aligned with governance standards, providing an operation-tracking feature to ensure compliance with regulatory texts and technical instructions. It also provides clear and accurate insights for decision-makers through comprehensive and real-time performance indicators, enhancing the effectiveness of oversight and resource management.
