The Water and Sanitation Company of Algiers (SEAAL) announced on Wednesday disruptions in the supply of drinking water across several municipalities.
The company explained in a statement that repair work on a leak in a main water transfer pipe in Tessala El Merdja has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
These works will result in delays and adjustments to the distribution schedule in the following municipalities: Tessala El Merdja (partially), Douera, Baba Hassen, Khraicia, Draria, El Achour, Saoula (partially), Dely Ibrahim (Ain Allah), Ouled Fayet, Souidania, and Cheraga (Bouchaoui).
SEAAL assured its customers in the affected municipalities that the regular distribution schedule will resume starting Thursday, February 12.
