Attaf holds talks with Nigerian counterpart in Addis Ababa

Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, held bilateral talks today, Wednesday, in Addis Ababa with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, Amon Murwira, on the sidelines of his participation in the African Union Executive Council meetings.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing ways to develop the relations of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Zimbabwe in light of the important decisions taken by the presidents of the two countries during their talks in Algiers last July.

The two ministers also discussed prospects for continuing bilateral coordination at the African level in service of security, development, and integration issues on the continent.

Attaf also held bilateral talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.

The meeting allowed for a review of the current situation in the Sahel-Saharan region and the prospects for continuing to contribute together toward promoting development in this shared space, particularly within the framework of implementing structural projects of an integrative nature.

The two ministers also addressed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and the prospects for bringing more dynamism to them.
