Units of the Regional Group of the National Gendarmerie in El Bayadh, within the Second Military Region, arrested four individuals, including two women, on Thursday. During the operation, authorities seized 5 quintals and 32 kilograms of treated cannabis, a truck, two passenger cars, two mobile phones, and a sum of money derived from criminal activities.
A statement from the Ministry of National Defense noted that this operation adds to numerous others that have successfully thwarted the entry and distribution of these toxins into the country. The statement emphasized that the operation reflects the high professionalism, constant vigilance, and permanent readiness of the People’s National Army units to confront all forms of organized crime, particularly ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
