Important Files on the Government’s Table

Prime Minister Saifi Gharib chaired a government meeting on Wednesday dedicated to reviewing several files. At the beginning of the session, the government examined a draft executive decree specifying the methods for opening special classes within the regular school environment and benefiting from facilitation arrangements during exams and competitions for people with special needs.

This initiative relies on an integrated approach for people with special needs in classes adapted for this purpose within regular schools, in coordination with the sectors responsible for national solidarity, national education, and health. It also involves embodying the principle of equal opportunity by ensuring the right to education without discrimination for this category of students through adapted pedagogical support and the implementation of necessary mechanisms and preparation measures to allow them to pursue their schooling and pass their exams and competitions in prepared conditions.

Furthermore, the government heard a presentation on the project to establish the Algeria Philharmonic Orchestra, which aims to consolidate Algeria’s presence on the international cultural stage as an active cultural force. The creation of a professional national ensemble, embodied in the Algeria Philharmonic Orchestra, represents an urgent necessity and a fundamental guarantee for interpreting, re-presenting, and celebrating national musical heritage. The orchestra will primarily focus on preserving heritage, developing artistic taste, discovering talent, and supporting musical creativity.

Finally, the government listened to a presentation on the National Reference for Training and Competencies, considered one of the structural reforms initiated by the vocational training sector within a comprehensive vision aimed at improving employability and human resource development. This establishes a qualitative transition from a program-based training logic to a modern approach centered on employable professional competencies.

This reference framework allows for a unified and clear reading of competency needs at the national level and ensures coordination between training, employment, and investment policies by directly linking training paths to officially recognized professions within the national classification of occupations and employment.
