General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, monitored the launch of the “Alsat-3A” observation satellite from the ground remote sensing station. The launch was conducted from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
According to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense, the operation, which took place at 5:01 AM Algeria time, is part of efforts to strengthen and develop national capabilities in space observation. It also embodies the partnership between the Algerian Space Agency and the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
The launch of the Alsat-3A satellite was successful and will provide the country with additional high-resolution satellite data for observation. Furthermore, it will enhance the geospatial intelligence system and provide value-added geospatial information, including mapping and digital elevation models.
