Minister of National Education Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui announced the launch of the first edition of the “Educational Research Award.”
During his speech on Saturday at the opening of the “Innovation Challenge in Education” event at the headquarters of the Mutual Guarantee and Surety Fund for Real Estate Promotion in Ouled Fayet, Algiers, the minister explained that the award will accept rigorous studies and innovative scientific initiatives that contribute to developing educational practices and enhancing the quality of learning.
Saadaoui emphasized that this step is part of efforts to support educational research and value academic contributions to serve the advancement of educational practice and establish a culture of excellence.
The minister also announced the creation of a specialized semi-annual journal titled the “Journal of Educational Innovation,” noting that the first issue will be published in June of this year. It is the first peer-reviewed Algerian scientific journal specializing in publishing and documenting creative initiatives in education.
This step, the minister added, aims to establish a national scientific reference in educational innovation and transform the National Institute for Research in Education into a productive space for ideas and solutions.
