The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed on Thursday that the 2025-2026 hunting season has been open since December 1, 2025.
The office explained that, under the provisions of the law relating to hunting, the scheduling of the hunting season is determined according to the type of game and the relevant provinces by decision of the provincial authorities, which take into account the type of game and biological rest periods.
The clarification from the Prime Minister’s Office follows reports by some media outlets regarding a ban on hunting activities starting from the middle of this January.
