The Public Urban and Suburban Transport Establishment of Algiers (ETUSA) has announced its special service program for the holy month of Ramadan. The establishment explained in a statement on Sunday that passenger transport services will be guaranteed throughout the week during the holy month, both before and after Iftar.
Under this plan, 186 routes have been allocated for the morning period and 70 routes for the post-Iftar period. The establishment noted that the time interval between trips ranges from 20 to 40 minutes during the day and from 20 to 30 minutes at night.
Regarding trip schedules for the morning period, the first trip starts at 05:50 and the last trip at 17:45 for urban areas, while for suburban areas, service runs from 05:50 to 17:30. For the night period, the first trip will depart at 19:40 and the last trip at 01:00. This schedule will remain in effect during weekends without changes.
The establishment also revealed a special program for transporting citizens to the Great Mosque of Algiers for Tarawih and Friday prayers. Round-trip ticket prices have been set at 100 dinars for suburban areas and 50 dinars for urban areas.
Departures for these services will be from 1er Mai station, Audin Square, Martyrs’ Square, Kouba station, Les Fusillés station, Baraki station, El Eucalyptus station, Sidi Abdellah, Khemis El Khechna (via Hammadi), and Ouled Moussa (via Reghaïa and Rouiba).
