Minister of National Education, Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, revealed the organization of another competition for teachers for the year 2026.
During his speech while supervising the launch of the first qualifying competition for the third edition of the Algerian Mathematics Olympiad at the Ikhwan Omrani Middle School in Algiers, Saadaoui stated that “another competition will be organized later for the year 2026 for teachers, in addition to organizing a professional competition for other educational sectors.”
Saadaoui emphasized that the goal of organizing the competition is to “meet the sector’s needs and provide our educational institutions with the necessary competencies.”
Regarding the teacher recruitment competition, which saw the participation of more than one million candidates, Saadaoui explained that it concerns 40,500 teaching positions across the three educational levels.
He also reassured that all candidate concerns were addressed, saying: “We followed the concerns of those interested in applying through daily monitoring to answer any questions.”
He added: “The competition must be conducted in an atmosphere of transparency and clarity to ensure fair competition.”
