The CEO of the Sonelgaz-Engineering subsidiary conducted a working mission to Mozambique to support and strengthen cooperation in the field of electrical energy. This visit aligns with Algeria’s strategic directions aimed at enhancing African cooperation and consolidating the principle of South-South partnership.
According to a company statement, the first day was dedicated to an extensive technical meeting with Mozambican officials. During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in electricity production and energy engineering, in addition to studying relevant technical and regulatory aspects.
The delegation also visited the Port of Maputo to inspect the logistical aspects related to technical operations and coordinate with local partners to ensure performance efficiency and proper organization.
The program concluded with a visit to a power plant completed in 2018 in Maputo, which allowed for an exchange of technical perspectives and insights into field experiences in the operation of energy facilities.
This mission reflects the pivotal role of Sonelgaz in implementing national energy policy beyond borders by exporting Algerian expertise and strengthening its presence as an African energy actor contributing to energy security and sustainable development on the continent.
