The authorities of Tlemcen province have announced the allocation of a financial budget of 75 million dinars for the rehabilitation of the “Lalla Setti” plateau tourist park. This budget, funded by the Social and Economic Development Support Fund for Local Communities, will be directed toward rehabilitating play areas, renewing urban furniture, landscaping green spaces, and improving public lighting.

The project also includes the rehabilitation of the fountain system, the expansion of the lake irrigation system, and the installation of water games on the terrace. All these operations have already commenced and are expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of the current year, aiming to improve the quality of public services at this tourist facility.

Furthermore, the provincial authorities indicated that maintenance work on the cable car has been ongoing since last March. This work involves the rehabilitation of pillars and cables according to high technical standards, as the system had exceeded its permitted technical exploitation period of 24,000 hours, in accordance with international safety and security standards.

The cable car is expected to resume operations by the end of the first half of the current year, ahead of the start of the upcoming summer season.
