Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tachrifet, accompanied by the Governor of Constantine, Abdelkhalek Sayouda, and the Governor of Skikda, Saïd Akhrouf, visited the memorial commemorating the martyrdom of the symbolic leader Didouche Mourad. The memorial is located at Oued Boukerker in the municipality of Zighoud Youcef, the site where the hero and several of his companions were martyred.
The visit by the Minister of Mujahideen was part of the activities marking the 71st anniversary of the martyrdom of the symbolic hero Didouche Mourad (1955–2026).
During the ceremony, the national flag was raised, and a wreath of flowers was laid at the memorial. The Fatiha was recited in memory of the martyr and all those who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
On the sidelines of the event, the delegation visited the first headquarters of the Second Historical Wilaya command. They received detailed briefings on the life and legacy of the symbolic martyr Didouche Mourad and other leaders of the Second Historical Wilaya through exhibitions organized for the occasion.
