Officers from the General Police Unit of the 10th Urban Security District in Constantine have seized 1,210 kg of white meat unfit for human consumption.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Directorate of Trade as part of a proactive field inspection to monitor markets and commercial shops within the jurisdiction.
The operation resulted in the seizure of the spoiled meat, the inspection of 45 commercial shops, and the issuance of 17 violations for non-compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards. The seized quantity was subsequently destroyed by the competent authorities.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant when purchasing consumer goods to protect their health, emphasizing the importance of buying from known sources that are subject to official oversight.
