Prime Minister meets with representatives of the National Union of Taxi Drivers

Prime Minister Saifi Gharib met with representatives of the National Union of Taxi Drivers, in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Transport, and the Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the transport sector receives special follow-up and great interest from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, given its strategic importance in the national system.

The Prime Minister announced the launch of actual workshops framed by a specific timeline aimed at addressing various professional and social issues and reducing the accumulated challenges within the sector.

The Prime Minister expressed his confidence in the upcoming phase, stressing that the transport sector is set for a qualitative leap that will improve the working conditions of professionals and enhance public service performance, noting the awareness of sector professionals and their effective role in ensuring the continuity of this service.

For its part, the National Union of Taxi Drivers praised the meeting, which falls within the framework of strengthening bridges of trust between state institutions and transport sector professionals, particularly taxi drivers.

The National Union of Taxi Drivers confirmed its permanent readiness for positive and responsible involvement in every serious reform effort that serves the interests of professionals and maintains the stability of the sector.
