Saudi Arabia has announced that tomorrow, Wednesday, will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, and that today, Tuesday, is the final day of the month of Sha’ban. The announcement follows the confirmed sighting of the crescent moon at authorized observatories.
The Saudi Royal Court stated that the Supreme Court has determined Wednesday to be the start of Ramadan. Reports indicated that artificial intelligence technologies were utilized at the Sudair observatory to facilitate the prediction of the crescent moon’s location and monitor it with high precision.
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia had previously issued a call for the sighting of the Ramadan crescent moon.
