Rain and snow in several provinces

The National Meteorological Office reported on Monday the continuation of significant rainfall and snowfall across several provinces of the country. In an alert, the office warned of ongoing heavy thunderstorms with amounts reaching 30 mm until 09:00 this morning in the provinces of Adrar and Timimoun.

A second bulletin reported heavy thunderstorms with amounts exceeding 80 mm, starting from 15:00 today and continuing until 09:00 on Wednesday, in the provinces of Tipaza, Chlef, Mostaganem, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, Relizane, Mascara, Tiaret, and Saida.

The provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Boumerdes, Algiers, Bouira, and Medea will also experience locally heavy thunderstorms, with amounts reaching 40 mm, starting from 15:00 today and continuing until 09:00 tomorrow, Tuesday.

In another alert, the same services warned of continued heavy snowfall on heights exceeding 1,000 meters until noon tomorrow, Tuesday, with thickness reaching 15 cm, in the provinces of Tlemcen, Naama, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, El Bayadh, Laghouat, and Djelfa.

Western provinces will also see continued significant local thunderstorms until 18:00 this Monday evening in the provinces of Oran, Ain Temouchent, and Tlemcen.

The office also warned of continued significant thunderstorms in the provinces of Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Souk Ahras, Djelfa, Laghouat, Ghardaia, El Menia, In Salah, Ouargla, Touggourt, and El Oued until dawn tomorrow, Tuesday.
