Prime Minister Saifi Gharib chaired a joint ministerial meeting dedicated to the installation of the multi-sectoral working group tasked with preparing the national reference for integration in the automotive, bus, and motorcycle manufacturing sector.
According to the Prime Minister’s office, this national reference is considered the reference document for calculating the integration rates achieved by manufacturers, enabling them to obtain the preferential benefits established by the legislative and regulatory framework governing this activity.
This reference document will allow for the establishment of a solid foundation for creating and developing an integrated national network of subcontractors active in the production of various parts and components related to this industry. The goal is to gradually increase the national integration rate, contributing to the establishment of a real and sustainable automotive industry and effective integration into relevant value chains.
It will also enable the creation of new and permanent jobs in various branches associated with this industry, enhance technology transfer, and develop national skills, in addition to reducing the import bill for spare parts and components.
