The Algerian Motorways institution announced in a statement on Wednesday the mobilization of all its patrol agents, intervention, and maintenance services across all sections of the East-West Highway throughout the month of Ramadan, ensuring the continuity of its services around the clock.
In this context, the institution confirmed that its teams “will continue to accompany road users and work to ensure their security and safety during their travels, providing support and assistance in anticipation of any accident or emergency,” through a 24-hour shift system.
Algerian Motorways also urged highway users to “exercise caution and vigilance regarding the risks of fatigue and drowsiness, given their role in traffic accidents,” stressing the need to avoid driving for long periods without rest and highlighting the importance of stopping at rest areas or service stations to take a break.
