The National Gendarmerie services in Oran have dismantled several criminal networks and arrested eight individuals, seizing quantities of drugs and psychotropic substances during separate operations across various neighborhoods in the province.
According to a statement from the same services, these operations were the result of field work, intensive investigations, and the effective use of intelligence. The operations led to the seizure of 3 kg of treated cannabis and 8,600 capsules of various psychotropic substances.
Additionally, a sum of 288 million centimes in trafficking proceeds was seized, along with two passenger cars, bladed weapons, and mobile phones.
The suspects were presented to the competent judicial authorities on charges related to the felony possession of drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of trafficking, offering, and selling within an organized criminal group.
