The National Meteorological Office has warned of continued heavy rainfall in several provinces across the country.
An alert issued on Tuesday reported heavy rain in the provinces of Algiers, Blida, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Constantine, Mila, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, and Djelfa. The rainfall is expected to continue from Tuesday until dawn on Wednesday.
In a separate alert, the meteorological office also warned of continued heavy thunderstorms with rainfall amounts potentially exceeding 80 mm in the provinces of Tipaza, Chlef, Mostaganem, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, Relizane, Mascara, Tiaret, and Saida, effective until 09:00 on Wednesday morning.
