Ooredoo Algeria congratulated the Algerian people on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, announcing an ambitious program of humanitarian and community initiatives for those in need across various regions of the country. In a congratulatory message, the General Manager of Ooredoo Algeria, Roni Tohme, stated: “On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, I am pleased, on behalf of Ooredoo Algeria and all its teams, to extend my warmest congratulations and sincerest wishes to the Islamic nation in general, and to the Algerian people in particular.”
The statement added that Ooredoo will be present on the ground throughout this holy month to embody the values of solidarity, generosity, and synergy through various community and humanitarian initiatives. During this holy month, Ooredoo intends to launch a series of initiatives, including the renewal of the “Iftar Box” operation for the second consecutive year, alongside opening its restaurant throughout Ramadan to distribute ready-made boxes containing hot meals for those fasting, in cooperation with the “Win Nelqa” National Association for Patient Support.
In parallel, a joint solidarity initiative titled “Break Your Fast” will be launched, targeting several hospitals in the capital. Boxes containing essential components to break the fast will be distributed at emergency departments to enable patients and medical staff to have their Iftar in dignified and appropriate conditions. Ooredoo will also continue, for the third consecutive year, to distribute hot meals daily via a food truck in Ben Aknoun, in cooperation with the “Nass El Khair” association, strengthening its field presence and proximity to those fasting and in need.
On the eve of Ramadan, Ooredoo launched two large-scale operations. The first, renewed for the fourth consecutive year in cooperation with the National Association for Voluntary Work, involves delivering food parcels to several areas, particularly remote ones. The second, in partnership with the Algerian Muslim Scouts, involves distributing food parcels to families in need across several provinces. Ooredoo will also share Iftar tables with its partner associations, such as the “Amel wa Amal” association for the physically disabled, in a comprehensive step that reinforces the values of inclusion and carries deep humanitarian dimensions.
Through this rich and diverse program, Ooredoo Algeria reaffirmed its position as a responsible and committed actor in community service, contributing during this holy month to strengthening the bonds of solidarity and planting the seeds of hope and the spirit of brotherhood among the people of the nation.
