Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, co-chaired the Algerian-Greek Economic Forum with Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Harry Theocharis on Tuesday in Athens. The forum was held on the sidelines of the third session of the Joint Committee between the two countries.
The forum saw the participation of a significant number of economic institutions from both countries active in the fields of hydrocarbons, construction, energy, renewable energy, public works, food industries, startups, transport, and tourism.
During his speech, the Secretary of State praised the level of bilateral relations, emphasizing the need to strengthen economic cooperation by working to increase the volume and diversity of bilateral trade exchanges. He also stressed the importance of implementing profitable and sustainable investment projects, calling for the activation of the Algerian-Greek Business Council to provide a strong impetus to bilateral cooperation and partnership relations.
The forum provided an opportunity for Algerian economic operators and their Greek counterparts to hold productive meetings and introduce the business climate and investment opportunities in both countries. It also allowed them to establish cooperation relations and explore new horizons for investment and partnership.
