Eight people were injured in a gas explosion in the province of Bordj Bou Arreridj. According to a statement from the Civil Protection, emergency units intervened at 9:45 AM following a gas leak that led to an explosion inside a two-story house in the village of Taferna, located in the municipality of Ghilassa, Bordj Ghedir district.
The incident resulted in eight injuries according to a preliminary toll. The victims received first aid at the scene before being transported to the local hospital for treatment.
