Higher Education: Twinning and Partnership Agreements Between Algeria and Italy

Algeria and Italy signed twinning and partnership agreements in the field of higher education on Thursday. These agreements were signed between several Algerian higher education institutions, the University of Genoa in Italy, and the Regional Agency for Economy and Financial Development in the Liguria region. The signing took place under the supervision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, the President of the University of Genoa, and his accompanying delegation.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, these agreements aim to strengthen cooperation and exchange in the research field, as well as transfer expertise in entrepreneurship, startups, and business incubators. They also aim to encourage mobility from both sides for the benefit of the university community.

The same source explained that the agreements included a number of Algerian university institutions, namely: the University of Médéa, the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene – Bab Ezzouar, the University of Oran 1, the University of Tlemcen, the University of Constantine 3, the University of Ouargla, and the National Polytechnic School in El Harrach.
