The Russian parliamentary delegation continued its official visit to Algeria on Thursday, where it was received by Rania Touni, Acting Chief of Staff at the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, along with agency officials.
A statement from the lower house of parliament explained that the Russian delegation received detailed explanations regarding the investment climate in Algeria, the facilities and incentives guaranteed by the new investment law, and the agency’s role in supporting investors. The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on ways to promote and strengthen economic cooperation between Algeria and Russia.
For their part, members of the Russian parliamentary delegation emphasized the importance and effectiveness of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting and strengthening the economic aspect of bilateral relations, expressing their desire to elevate economic cooperation to the level of the distinguished political relations between the two countries.
In this context, the delegation members raised several inquiries regarding the agency’s operations and offered suggestions to contribute to supporting and activating economic cooperation between Algeria and Russia.
At the conclusion of the day’s program, the State Duma delegation visited the University of Algiers.
