President Tebboune Sends Message to Chadian Counterpart, Emphasizing South-South Partnership

Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, was received on Thursday by the President of the Republic of Chad, Head of State, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

According to a ministry statement, Arkab conveyed fraternal greetings from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and delivered a written message expressing his commitment to strengthening fraternal ties between the two peoples and deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The meeting was attended by the Algerian Ambassador to Chad, the Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjal, the CEO of Sonatrach, Noureddine Daoudi, and the CEO of the GICA Group, Rabah Kassoum.

The Minister of State expressed his sincere gratitude to the Republic of Chad for selecting Algeria as the guest of honor for the International Exhibition of Mines, Quarries, and Hydrocarbons (SEMICA Chad 2026), noting that this choice reflects the depth of bilateral relations.

For his part, the Chadian President asked the Minister of State to convey his fraternal greetings and high regard to President Tebboune, reaffirming his country’s determination to strengthen cooperation with Algeria in all fields and to support African cooperation and the South-South partnership.

The Chadian President emphasized the strength of the historical friendship between his country and Algeria, based on values of trust, solidarity, and mutual support derived from African values calling for unity and solidarity among the peoples of the continent.

In this context, the Chadian President praised Algerian expertise, particularly in the fields of hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, mining, and the industrial sector, such as cement production, expressing his country’s desire to benefit from Algerian experience in these areas.
